Canada Express Entry draw invitations sent to foreigners – Check cut-off score

Invitations to apply for Canada Express Entry have been sent to a limited group of talented individuals who wish to live in Canada permanently. 

Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) has sent Canada Express Entry invitations under the General Category to skilled immigrants seeking permanent residence in the country. The latest round of Express Entry draw results took place on February 28, 2024 and the invitations have been sent to the applicants. Invitations to apply to the Federal Skilled Worker Program, Canadian Experience Class and Federal Skilled Trades Program are issued through this round of invitations

On February 28, 2024, 1470 Express Entry invitations were issued to eligible foreign nationals ranked among the first 1470, with the lowest-ranked candidate receiving a CRS score of 534. The Date and time of round number 286 was February 28, 2024 at 14:57:26 UTC while the Tie-breaking rule date was January 16, 2024, at 03:51:05 UTC

The Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) is used to rank candidates based on age, education, work experience, and language competency, out of a possible 1200 points. If more than one candidate has the lowest score, the cut-off is based on the date and time they submitted their Express Entry profiles.

The cut-off score for Express Entry candidates has fallen by 1 point from 535 to 534 since the February 13 draw, based on the date and time of submission.

Express Entry is Canada’s top immigration system, simplifying and expediting the process for skilled workers, experienced individuals, and trades professionals through various programs. The Canadian government sets immigration targets, with the CRS cut-off score for each Express Entry draw, including the lowest-ranking applicant receiving an ITA for permanent residence, also influencing the score.
