The European Commission’s adoption of specific regulations on issuing multiple entry visas to Indian nationals on April 18 marks a significant step in strengthening relations between the EU and India. Schengen visas enable visitors to freely travel within the Schengen area for short stays of up to 90 days within a 180-day period. However, these visas do not grant the right to work. The Schengen area encompasses 29 European countries, including 25 EU member states, as well as Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, and Switzerland.
